What is “Work-life Balance”?
Work-life balance is a term that defines how working people manage their time between personal and professional activities. Personal time usually refers to a person’s time outside of work. This may include their hobbies, social life, relationships, and family responsibilities.
Achieving a work-life balance is often aimed at having effective time management for employees. The idea first came up to prevent burnout and stress. In today’s landscape, many employees tend to be happier and perform better when they spend some time with their families and on their personal interests.
Although the ideal work-life balance is still open to discussion, experts define this as having an appropriate balance between achievement and enjoyment.
