What is “hypergrowth”?
Hypergrowth is a phase where companies experience rapid expansion at an impressive annual growth. This stage primarily indicates the peak of success of any organization. Businesses that reach hypergrowth are known to have the ability to adapt and move quickly to capture demand.
The term hypergrowth was first introduced by Alexander V. Izosimov in 2008 at a Harvard Business Review article. During that time, he defined hypergrowth as ‘the steep part of the S-curve that young industries experience that sets them from losers.’
